The Campus Activities Board (CAB) is the largest student-run event programming organization at Drexel University
Our purpose is to plan and execute a variety of successful events, reflective of the diverse interests and needs of the undergraduate student body. CAB strives, through its programs, to entertain, educate and enrich, while building a cohesive campus community.
CAB is made of 6 Committees
Special Event
The Special Events Committee is tasked with planning and organizing campus-wide events, as well as off campus outings. The committee is composed of innovative students whose goal is to provide a variety of unique and interactive events for the diverse undergraduate demographic. Some past events that this committee has planned include: Block Party, Puppy Pawlooza, Cake Decorating Workshop, and Halloweenfest.
Culture & Discovery
The Culture and Discovery Committee strives to provide the Drexel community with opportunities to celebrate diverse cultures and immerse oneself in new experiences. Some past events this committee has planned are: cultural holidays such as Lunar New Year and Holi, Election Night Live, speakers such as Laverne Cox, and trips to museums and sports games.
Performing & Fine Arts
The Performing and Fine Arts committee helps students gain a newfound appreciation for various art forms. It provides students opportunities to experience art on-campus, around Philadelphia, as well as in the surrounding metropolitan areas. Some past events include Unplugged, movie showings, Broadway musicals, art museums, and craft workshops.
Traditions
The Traditions Committee is responsible for engaging the campus by planning CAB's annual large scale events for the student body. These events include Comedy Show, Crystal Ball, and Dragonfly.
Dragons After Dark
The Dragons After Dark committee takes events and brings them to the light of the night. The goal of the committee is to provide a safe atmosphere for late-night events on (or a walkable distance from) Drexel’s campus. These can include but are not limited to, events like weekly Quizzes, midnight breakfast, and late skate.
Marketing
The Marketing Committee is the bridge between CAB and the Drexel student body. Consisting of a Public Relations, Graphic Design, Photography, and Videography team, the Marketing Committee is responsible for creating communication to reach Drexel students through media/PR events while building partnerships with student organizations to make our events best fit the ever-changing needs of the Drexel community.
Membership
CAB consists of students from all over Drexel University to plan events for the Undergraduate Student Body.
