COMMITTEE DIRECTOR

GENERAL OVERVIEW OF ROLE:

Committee Directors are members of the executive board and are the leaders of 1 of 6 committees on Campus Activities Board. This role is responsible for monitoring all the activities of their respective committee and ensuring that all the projects their team embarks on are going smoothly. These directors are in place to support their team and help them wherever necessary.

DUTIES:

*Although the list below aims to be a comprehensive view of what this role will entail, all roles on CAB are subject to change and duties are likely to be expanded or contracted during your time serving in this role.

Duties:

  • Schedule and lead weekly meetings with the entirety of your committee to review all projects in progress and assist any members of your team with things they are struggling with.

  • Establish specific goals and objectives for improvement on behalf of your committee at the beginning of each term. Share these with your committee and track your team’s progress throughout the term.

  • Lead a team of 4-10 people. Act as their primary resource for information, help, and encouragement.

  • Oversee all events being planned on behalf of your committee (1-15 events depending on the committee and the term). Ensure all event details are being tracked, communicated to the right parties, and followed through on.

  • Ensure event planners are communicating with the marketing team, vendors, and PR reps.

  • Act as the primary liaison between Drexel event services and your committee of event planners.

  • Reserve all on-campus space and services for events that your committee is planning through EMS.

  • Monitor the cab@drexel.edu email and answer all emails about events respective to your committee.

This position reports to the President + the general board of CAB. This person also has a responsibility to the members of their respective committee.

Event Volunteer: 2
Office Hours: 10 (at least one per week of each academic term)
Surveys: All
GBMs: All
Committee Meetings: ALL Exec Meetings (Weekly), ALL Committee Meetings (Weekly)
